Voor jonge mediamakers is het niet makkelijk om bij gevestigde producenten en omroepen een voet tussen de deur te krijgen. Daarom organiseerden de NFTVM (nu: VERS) en de beroepsvereniging van film- en televisiemakers NBF jarenlang de Dag van het TV Idee, waar aanstormend mediatalent de kans kreeg om hun format te pitchen bij landelijke omroepen en producenten. In de aanloop naar dit grote moment scherpten zij hun hun tv-ideeën in categorieën als drama, licht informatief, amusement en documentaire aan via een traject van workshops en coaching. Voor velen was het een beslissende stap in hun media-carrière.
Tijdens een van de edities van de Dag van het TV Idee verzorgde Katmondo de productie van de pitchdag en het voortraject van workshops, coachingsessies en lezingen door experts uit de mediawereld, inclusief perscontacten, publiciteit en informatievoorziening. Centraal stond daarin de Dag van het TV Idee website, een WordPress site die we dagelijks voorzagen van blogposts, recensies, interviews, nieuwsberichten en natuurlijk veel beeldmateriaal, om deelnemers, samenwerkingspartners en mediaproducenten te informeren en inspireren.
